What are Round Rock Public Records?

As defined by the Texas Government Code Chapter 552, a public record is any form of a document written, created, and stored by a government body. Round Rock City public records include minutes, land and property records, and law enforcement reports. Round Rock Crime Statistics

The Texas Department of Public Safety (TxDPS) publishes crime reports for Round Rock City. In 2019, the Round Rock Police Department reported 2,400 crimes, a 9.4% decrease in crime count from the previous year. The Texas Department of Public Safety also gives the public access to Round Rock City arrest records. These reports stored in the conviction database contain arrests, misdemeanors, deferred adjudications, and Class C convictions. Requesters will need to register for a CRS Account and buy credits to search. How to Find Sex Offender Information in Round Rock

The Texas Department of Public Safety maintains the state's Public Sex Offender Registry. Interested parties can access sex offender information for the City of Round Rock by searching the registry by the offender's name, address, or any known affiliation with a Texas institute of higher learning. The TxDPS also provides sex offender information in downloadable digital format and updates the registry twice a week. In addition to this, Round Rock City residents can monitor sex offenders using the Public Sex Offender Subscription Service. This service is only available to registered users.

How to Find Round Rock Inmate Records

Jail records for the City of Round Rock are open to the public. Residents and other members of the public can obtain information on inmates housed in the Williamson County Jail online. Interested parties will need to provide the inmate's name, booking number, birth date, booking date, and release date (if available).

How Do I Visit an inmate in Round Rock City Jail?

Williamson County inmates can receive family members during appointed visitation hours unless a court order says otherwise. Each inmate can also receive up to five friends, provided that the inmate adds their names to the approved visitor’s list. Attorneys can pay a visit during the week but will not be allowed into the facility without providing a bar card.

Certified copies of marriage records are not open to the public and are only available to eligible individuals. The state department will request for a valid ID or legal representation to determine the requester's eligibility status. The Williamson County Clerk issues copies of marriage records. The Texas Department of State Health Services issues copies of birth certificates for events that took place in Round Rock City. The department charges $22 per copy and may bill additional fees for requests made online. The price is non-refundable, and the office cannot reverse confirmed requests. Section 181.1(21) of the Texas Administrative Code restricts the accessibility of birth certificates to the registrant, immediate family members, or legal representative. Round Rock death records are obtainable from the Texas Department of State Health Services. The state office provides certified copies of death records at $22 each. Requests can be made online, through the mail, or in person. Online requests usually attract an extra transaction fee.
