While some property records can be found online, access to images of documents is available only at the office of the Jefferson County Clerk. Record seekers can also view property tax balance online using the property owner's name, the property address, the property account number, CAD reference number, or fiduciary number. Upon using any search criteria, the website redirects users to a page where they can get more information by clicking on the desired account number. A click on an account number displays the property details like the property's market value, the land value: improvement value, capped value, agricultural value, and exemptions. The search also displays the legal description of the property, the current tax levy, current tax amount due on the property, information on active lawsuits, and judgments on the property.
