Larceny was the most prevalent property crime with 691 cases while burglary came second with 180 incidents. There were also 45 vehicle thefts and 4 cases of arson.
Compared to 2014 crime data, burglary was the only crime that did not record a year-on-year increase. Burglary rate in Nueces County declined by 12.9%. While the county recorded one case of murder in 2015, there was none in 2014. However, there were higher rates of rape (42.9%), aggravated assault (73.1%), robbery (9.1%), larceny (8%), vehicle theft (55.2%), and arson (300%).
