Galveston County Prison System
The Galveston County prison system is overseen by the Corrections Division of the County, which is a division of the County Sheriff's Office. The prison system consists of an adult jail facility and a juvenile detention facility.
The Galveston County jail facility is a large adult facility that houses persons awaiting trial or serving brief sentences. The Juvenile Justice Department detention center is a 29 single-occupancy room facility that houses offenders aged 10 to 18 found guilty of lawless conduct due to acts committed before they turned 17.

How Does a Galveston County Inmate Search Work?
The Freedom of Information Act governs the availability of reviewing Galveston County inmate records, which provide a lot of helpful information about a person. Note that some events are not reported on the same day they occurred. Suppose one is not sure if a person was arrested on a particular date or at a location. They may go to the homepage of the Galveston Consortium's Police to Citizen (P2C) and click on the "event search" tab on the menu tab. This directs the searcher to a page where they may search arrests using information like the individual's name, arrest location (street name, street number, city), and the arrest time frame.
One may click on arrests to find recent arrests. The names shown in this section only depict arrested individuals without any convictions.
To find inmates using the state's ad-hoc search, select the court type, section, and "Galveston County" under the county selection. Then, tick other appropriate parameters and run a query using the provided search criteria.
A person who wants to search inmates' information using third-party sites should provide the required search parameters in a search engine. Multiple third-party sites will appear in the search results, and they can choose anyone from the list. Most Galveston inmate searches are free on third-party sites.
