Williamson County Arrest Records

Crime statistics for Williamson County show that there were 4,030 violent crimes and 41,369 property crimes in 2015, the last year with complete and available records. These figures represent a 1.6% increase in violent crimes and a 2.6% dip in property crimes compared to crime data for the previous year. A closer look at crime figures for the county shows that aggravated assault was the leading violent crime with 2,338 incidents. Robbery came second with 1,027 cases followed by 638 rapes and 27 murders. Property crime data analysis reveals that Williamson County recorded 33,100 larcenies in 2015 as well as 5,768 burglaries, 2,501 motor vehicle thefts, and 105 arsons.

Compared to 2014 figures, there were lower incidences of murder (18.2%), rape (5.8%), burglary (11.2%), larceny (1.3%), and arson (13.9%). The county recorded higher rates of aggravated assault (0.6%), robbery (9.8%), and vehicle theft (2.1%) in the same period.

Williamson County Criminal Records

The Texas Department of Public Safety (TxDPS) is responsible for maintaining a current list of registered sex offenders residing in all the counties in the state. In accordance with state laws, TxDPS makes this sex offender registry publicly available on its website. To search this database, visit the Public Sex Offender Registry Search page. Citizens can search for individual sex offenders by name or conduct a map search to find all registered offenders living in their counties and neighborhoods. The search tool also allows the public to find registered sex offenders living in and around college and university campuses all over the state.

Williamson County Inmate Information

The Corrections Division of the Williamson County Sheriff's Office is responsible for maintaining the county's jails and the inmates there. It makes jail records publicly available on the county's website. Use the search feature of the Jail Records webpage to locate inmates and recently released individuals. Williamson County Court Records

All court records for Williamson County are available on a public access database hosted on the county's website. These include criminal, civil, probate, and family case records. There is a separate search portal for criminal case records. Find case documents quickly by searching by defendant or attorney's name, citation, or date filed. Williamson County Public Records

The Williamson County Clerk's Office is in charge of all vital records for the county. The Clerk can issue copies of birth, death, and marriage certificates. The Clerk's Office maintains such records dating back to December 8, 1838. To find them, start by searching on the birth, death, and marriage records portals. The public can also order copies of these documents after finding them. The Williamson County Clerk accepts cash for in-person requests and check for requests made by mail.

The fee for each copy of a birth certificate is $23. The County Clerk charges $21 for the first copy of a death certificate and $4 for each additional copy ordered alongside. The fee for a copy of a marriage certificate is $7.
